Lake Quivira began in 1922 as a vision and dream described as "A lake of the finest water in this part of Kansas." The golf course, dam and the beach were built. A residential community had evolved by the 1950’s, and the security and gated entrance were introduced in 1966, turning Lake Quivira into a gated, private lake and golf course community for members only, and it’s own city in 1971. The dining room, bar, and seasonal patio provide a picturesque view of the lake while enjoying delicious meals prepared by the award winning chef. The Clubhouse main level "Great Room” provides space for meetings, special events and private functions. If a larger space is needed, the 3rd floor grand banquet room can accommodate up to 350 people. The 19th Hole, located on the lower level, is a casual bar offering food and beverage and opens to the outdoor patio and grill. The outdoor patio and grill offers seasonal casual dining on the water. Men’s and women’s locker rooms, a men’s card room and a conference room for small meetings are also on the first floor. One of the many amenities of membership is the use of a complimentary room rental for special events or corporate meetings, weddings, anniversaries or to celebrate special occasions. Lake Quivira offers an on-site Event Coordinator.
Lake Quivira 18-Hole Golf Course
Lake Quivira Country Club features a beautiful, championship 18-hole course centered around nature. A tree-lined course, with lush fairways and rolling hills are enhanced by the views overlooking the 224-acre lake. Lake Quivira offers one of the finest private golf clubs in the Greater Kansas City area. The course features bent grass greens and zoysia fairways, developed to USGA standards to accommodate players of all skill levels. Plus, unlike most residential golf communities, Lake Quivira's course is adorned with trees instead of home sites. We've cultivated an environment that encourages natural habitat and wildlife. In fact, Lake Quivira has been awarded the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Certificate, one of eight courses in Kansas and 913 courses in the world to hold this honor, and recognized for adhering to strict environmental and ecological criteria in the operation of the course.
